Update on pruning at Hill End & Cowley Road, other events at Hill End via Tandem Festival residency, Food Surplus Café, Abundance meeting including Disco Soup chat, From Nature to Plate foraging-inspired meal plus a look at what Brighton Permaculture are getting up to!
PRUNING: We had a great time pruning this weekend, photos to follow! Learning new skills & sharing skills too, and dipping our heads into a sound recording session being run by Tandem Festival residency too, who are all about sharing audiences between the arts and environmental movements… definitely make sure you don’t miss Tandem Festival 2015: 19th – 21st June & look out for upcoming pre-festival events including the event this Saturday…
–> If you haven’t managed to make it down to a pruning session yet, watch out for our last skill-up & skill-share sessions on 22nd March Pruning and 28th March Pruning too… Facebook has event info & it’ll be up on our website shortly. Check out our calendar!
Tandem Residency @ Hill End: If you’d like to find out more about Tandem Festival AND go to a great gig, THIS Saturday evening, check out the High Dorm Concert – Sat 21st March at the beautiful site of Hill End Outdoor Education Centre where we ran one of our pruning sessions on Saturday.
Food Surplus: And don’t forget the Oxford Food Surplus Cafe has an open meeting TONIGHT,
Abundance Meet: and we’ve got an OPEN Abundance Meeting – All welcome! Tues 17th March TOMORROW eve in the FIR TREE PUB on IFFLEY ROAD!
Foraging-Inspired meal: Also coming up this week are From Nature to Plate – a foraged meal, still a few tickets left!
Lastly, check out what’s happening in Brighton!
“Twelve days ago we launched a crowdfunding campaign to complete the building of a straw bale Fruit Factory. There’s a short video about their plans here!
–> We’re really excited about this – if they can get the funding and make it work then perhaps that could help a collective of groups in Oxford get a similar space! So if you do have a few spare pounds, do have a look and see if you can support them!
Jam-Packed week!
Gluts of Love,
Abundance Oxford
