Happy Wintry day folks, hope you’ve been keeping warm.
It’s a great time of year to tuck into chutneys and jams from warmer times and warmer climes, to bring some sunshine into the grey and rainy days. If you didn’t make any last year, perhaps you’ll join one of our skill-shares this year to make some together!
To get stuck into Abundancing this year, come join us on:-
Tuesday 7th February at 8pm
in the Fir Tree pub
ALL welcome!
We’ll be planning our pruning schedule and chatting spring foraging, and perhaps some preserve-making if there are gluts to be found; and if you’re keen to get involved this is a great way to do so!
Whether you enjoy climbing trees or prefer to stay on the ground, you can learn to prune with us 🙂
Pruning is a lovely way to reconnect with nature after December and January where we often spend a lot of time indoors, and in pruning we’re helping prolong the lifespan of local trees, and improve the quality of fruit too!
We’ll provide the tools (but do let us know if you have your own pruning tools as well) and gloves and will share our skills (built up from years of pruning seasons on the city’s trees) to all those keen to learn these heritage skills on weekend mid-mornings (~11am – 12:30pm) throughout February and early March.
Do get in touch on facebook or via email:- Abundance Harvests Oxford [@] gmail.com if you’re keen to join the pruning and can’t make the meeting.
Wintry Warmth to all!
Abundance
