Disco Soup – aka a big community cook-up and feast made from surplus food, cooked to the beets of music, on the streets of Oxford outside the Westgate shopping centre main entrance, is coming BACK, as part of #OxfordPumpkinFestival
Sat 3rd November, 12 – 3pm, you know where to be…! Bonn Square, opposite The Westgate, dancing to the beet!
If you’d like to help us make Disco Soup particularly souper and help squash food waste then you can come volunteer – we need volunteers 9:30 am – 5:30pm in 1.5 hour disco-shifts (sequins and eco-friendly glitter encouraged).
There’s disco-tasks in the following DiscoTeams:-

FOOD WASTE HEROES – engaging the general public in the food waste messages (through games and showing the info boards and serving soup on the go (there are banana outfits too…)
PROMO & SOCIAL MEDIA – to share the discomessages (we need a gram’mer…), and
OUTREACH – helping make sure that more vulnerable people in the city especially have an invite and know DiscoSoup is ON. It’s for everyone to join in!

You’re also welcome to come by on the day whenever you can, and help enjoy some delicious soup and then help us chop up some more veg to stick in the big pot, to help feed the next person for free! It’s pear-ticipatory!
