Harvest Festivals and Apple Days may have passed
But the day of the apple – and all those vegetables that
still sit in fields, gardens and poly-tunnels,
waiting to be picked and eaten, washed and peeled
(happily) continues for months and months still…
Don’t forget those fruit trees, and the apples and other fruit that adorn them, just because it’s dark in your garden!
This Monday, bring your surplus APPLES and soft fruit (grapes et al!) to the Monday Shop party here!
Or, invite Abundance Oxford to come help you harvest the fruit, so you can take it to Monday Shop! Find out more here in our Tree Owners info. We harvest by night if need be, and will harvest till December & beyond if your apples cling on 🙂
Our friends at Monday Shop in OARC will be celebrating 1 whole year of pay-as-you-feel vegetable surplus from #Cultivate, and the joys of being able to buy good local artisan bread, organic free-range local eggs and local honey supporting our bees in one little lovely pop-up shop that is open AFTER office working hours – YES!
Their birthday party will have apple pressing to make scrumptious juice, workshops, cakes, hot food, a clothes swap (bring what you don’t want and need! & spruce up your winter warmers) and more!

So, this Monday 26th, bring your surplus apples, bring yourselves, bring a small bottle or two and bring your wallets to help keep Monday Shop thriving and keep the lovely Monday evening community the volunteers of Monday Shop have created keep blossoming.
As a reminder, Monday Shop is held every Monday from 4 till 7:30pm upstairs of East Oxford Community Centre in OARC, so if you can’t make the party, and, especially if you struggle to make the farmers markets on the weekend, come check out local produce at affordable prices at Monday Shop!
See you there or be pear!
P.S Pears are more than welcome too!
