Apples are well and truly here! We’ve had many a tree owner contact us about harvesting their apples, and so we need many a new (and regular) volunteer to come on board and help harvest this fruit & get it redistributed to those in need or those who would benefit and enjoy free fruit !
This includes you! All volunteers can take home free fruit to share, eat and bake with 🙂
- Head to our facebook page to say hi/check out whats going on/keep up to date (if you don’ t have fb, you can contact us on email!)
- Fill in this calendar with your availability over the next 2 weeks
- Email us your number and which areas in Oxford are best for you to get to (and if you have a bike), to abundanceharvestsoxford [@] gmail.com and you’ll hear from us vvv soon!
Not an apple fan? We’ve also had plum tree owners get in touch: and plums are much more precious as when they plop onto pavements they are usually destined only to stain the ground for a few days and end up feeding the wasps.. which is fine, but it would be lovely to rescue some of those plums and send them to places where otherwise plums might be a luxury or cost a lot.
We’ll also be heading out foraging too of course! Blackberries and elderberries a-plenty amongst other fruits and nuts! But for now, apples are calling…
Gluts of Love,
