Harvest & Make: Foraged Hedgerow Jelly & Drop-in Jam Making
Come forage the hedgerows with us for wild fruits from Hogacre Common Eco Park and then help make a hedgerow jelly in this skill-share combined with OxGrow edible community garden! We’ll also make a big salad from the gluts in OxGrow’s garden: so if you’ve got a great salad dressing recipe to share, then let us know too! OxGrow garden will be open from 5:30pm till dusk so if you’d like to help out with the garden before you join us foraging, you’ll be able to J no previous gardening skills needed!

Drop-in Jam-Making Skill Share: Sat 27th September
12-4pm @ Barracks Lane Community Garden Harvest Festival
The finished jelly that we’ll start making at OxGrow in the Hedgerow Jelly skill-share will be available to try (this Saturday) at our drop-in jam-making skill-share session! If you’d like to help out with the drop-in jam-making skill-share, let us know by texting 07708776392 with your name and email address and your jam skills or interest in learning!
Hope to see lots of jam, jelly & preserve-making lovers at one of these events – whether you are a frequent jammer or whether you’re new to it all but keen to learn (and love to eat jam)! Both the Harvest & Make and the drop-in Jam-Making sessions are set in beautiful community gardens, bringing the outdoors and abundance to urban settings and these sessions are a great opportunity to discover them whilst sharing and learning preserve-making skills!
