Come and learn how to Graft Trees – to make new baby apple trees from old and heritage British varieties, from a master graftsman, a friend of Abundance’s, at the wonderful Barracks Lane Community Garden!
Our grafting skill-share will take place at the garden, alongside their great Seedy Sunday event (https://www.facebook.com/events/1453338834900104/?ref_newsfeed_story_type=regular) you can learn about growing in two different ways!
If you’d like to learn how to graft, you can come sit down for a few hours and learn, but if you won’t have time, you can also just stop by and have a quick look- let us know if you’re coming for longer so we know how many people to expect to teach!
We’ve got a professional grafter coming to teach, so it’s well worth joining in properly, and we’ve got limited spaces, so please write on the facebook wall if you’d like to join in for the session! https://www.facebook.com/events/1445570615678914/
Session to start approx. 2:15 pm with a demo, and then we’ll stay grafting till the end of the day. Timing to be confirmed.
We’ll provide gloves and tools, so you just need to bring a notepad and pen if you want to take any notes – but we’ll get some hand-outs ready too!
