We still need people to help out on our stall at the One World Fair next Saturday! http://doodle.com/ahihgxf5q454grhx It will be fun, there will be snacks for volunteers and some apples to take home too annnnnd you can also have a look around the fair before and after your shift, and it’s a great fair! It’s in the Town Hall on 16th November 10-4pm, and is organised by Oxfam. We’ll have apples, the apple machine to play with, preserves- juice, chutneys and jams to try and to buy (for donations) that go back into our not-for-profit trying to identify and redistribute the hidden food wealth of oxford: moving unwanted gluts in back-gardens and private land to those who want access to fresh fruit, and preserving crops for enjoyment much past the abundance of autumn.
Please tell us your availability on this doodle poll! http://doodle.com/ahihgxf5q454grhx We’ll aim to get different volunteers for the slots, so feel free to choose Yes for one and then “if need be” for other slots you can potentially do so we can make sure we have volunteers throughout… We need volunteers from 9 – 5 pm, in 1.5-2 hour slots ideally, but any help would be great- to help set up and help tidy away 🙂 We’ll provide everything you need and a little info sheet with everything we’ve got coming up and some of the events we’ve recently done- so don’t worry if you’ve not volunteered much (or ever!) with Abundance before- you can still help run the stall (and it’s fun playing with the apple machine too!)
