We’ve been super busy- that’s why we’ve been a bit quieter than usual- pruning neglected trees across Oxford to invest in the future of our local fruit. Pruning cleverly also often means cutting scion wood- 1 year growth that is used for GRAFTING- the practise employed far and wide for propagating apple cultivar- i.e. to make baby apple trees that bear the same fruit as their parents…
If you’re interested in learning how to graft- we’ll be running a workshop – on 9th at Hogacre Common Eco Park- and on 10th we’ll have a stall as part of Climate Week at the http://www.earthingfaith.org/2013/02/spirit-of-the-environment-conference-living-sustainably-with-faith-in-our-communities/“to raise awareness about climate change and sustainable living, and explore new ways forward.”
11:00am – 4:30pm
